Process of Product Development (Life Story Documentary)
1. Preparation – A mentor from Inspired By You will meet with you to explain the process and answer any questions you may have. At this time
we will set up a follow up meeting to review the answers to your chosen questions. Next, will work together to decide your chapter titles. We would also like for you to have pictures at this meeting to import for individual chapters (we will discuss content ideas with you). Approximately 10 pictures for each chapter will add a special dimension to your story. It also adds interest when you have props for your interview (we will provide some suggestions for these).
2. Day of Interview – A half hour before taping, a representative will meet with you in person to review the process one more time and answer any questions which may arise. At this time you will need to provide us with relevant photos for each chapter. Remember to have available any props you would like to display.
3. Interview – Depending on content, we need to allow 2 – 6 hours to complete the interview. We would like to have one friend or family member present. Their role is very important during the interview process. This person may introduce you and possibly read your selected questions to you. We recommend that you sit in your favorite room in a comfortable chair. We will track your time and give hand signals on minutes remaining for each chapter. Remember, we can stop at any time for a break, and we will break between chapters, reviewing each prior to taping.
4. Editing – We will import your photos, add captions, titles, chapters, music and special effects and fades where appropriate to make a customized documentary and transpose to DVD format.
5. Delivery – It takes approximately 2 weeks from taping to a finished product. You will receive 4 DVDs with original movie packaging and acknowledgements created especially for your movie.
